We only hold data provided to us by you. Initial information is collected on the sign up form. We may also collect data that is emailed to us by you. Once collected it is transferred onto our main database. We only keep data that is necessary to run theatrebloggers in an efficient manner.

Social Media Accounts

We use various social media accounts, these each have their own Data Protection Policies. If you want to share personal data on our social media accounts, please look at their policies.

Where is your data stored?

In common with most small businesses, we do not have any tailor-made software – we use mainstream packages for record keeping, email and accounting etc. We have picked mainstream suppliers with appropriate security standards. These include Mailchimp, Godaddy and Google. These all have their own GDPR policies.

What data do we share?

Members

If you decide you want to review a show organised by theatrebloggers we would usually only share your name and website name with the theatre/PR company so that they can organise your tickets. If they require further information (email/telephone) we will contact you so that you can approve it.

Theatres / PR / Production Companies

Likewise, if you want to invite a group of bloggers to your show, we will be acting as the middle-man, however it may be necessary for us to give your contact details (email/telephone) in case of emergency.

How long do we retain your data?

We keep the data indefinitely until you unsubscribe. There is an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every mailshot.

Under the new regulations, you have the right to know what information we hold on you. Simply send an email to info@theatresoutheast.com and we will download what we have (or send screenshots) and send it to you. If you believe we have information we should not be keeping, or it is out of date or otherwise wrong, please let us know and we will take appropriate action.

Do you have a complaint?

If you have a complaint about the way we are handling your information or how we have responded to a request for information or data removal, please let us know. If we find we are unable to reach an agreement, please feel free to contact the Information Commissioner.
